Tesco is launching a new housing scheme alongside one of its new developments in London. The development in Streatham will not only incude the store but will also offer an ice rink, leisure centre and 250 homes. Around 100 of the new homes will be let out to key workers and Tesco staff will be offered 13 flats. If the Tesco workers decide to leave the store they will not be required to vacate their homes but the homes will immediately be available to another Tesco employee when it becomes vacant.

The flats will be sold to a housing association which will manage them. The scheme, if successful, would be rolled out into more of Tescos large developments if this proves to be successfull.
