Mortgage Completion - Cheap Mortgage Deals

The final stage of the mortgage process in England and Wales. This comes after the contracts have been signed. It is possible to sign and complete on the same day but this is usually only possible if there are no complications and often when the property is a second home with no chain or a rental property.

Completion comes after you have signed the contract. The contract is drawn up by your solicitor or conveyancer and is in two parts - one for you to sign and one for your buyer. Once signed it means you are legally bound to continue with the purchase of the property.

You should be aware that particulars of sale can be altered right up until the contract has been legally drawn up. If your property details has stated that there are fixtures and fittings to be included in the sale, you should check that this is still the case as the vendor is within their rights to uninclude them!
